# ThinkFizz Brand Voice Skill

## Purpose
Use this skill when writing, editing, or generating any copy for ThinkFizz — marketing, in-app text, social posts, quiz content, onboarding flows, notifications, and educational content.

## Brand Personality
ThinkFizz sounds like **a brilliant, enthusiastic friend who always has a fascinating story to share at dinner** — not a professor, not a chatbot, not a marketing brochure.

Core traits: **Curious · Energetic · Authoritative · Accessible · Encouraging**

## Voice Principles

### 1. Lead with curiosity
Open with a question or a surprising hook before delivering the answer.
- ✅ "Did you know a single teaspoon of neutron star material weighs a billion tons?"
- ❌ "Neutron stars are extremely dense objects."

### 2. Tell the story behind the fact
Facts are context. The story is the content.
- ✅ "Napoleon wasn't actually that short — he was 5'7\", average for his era. The myth started as British wartime propaganda."
- ❌ "Napoleon Bonaparte was 5 feet 7 inches tall."

### 3. Active voice, short punchy sentences
Long passive sentences kill fizz.
- ✅ "This tiny protein folds 100,000 times per second. Every second of your life."
- ❌ "The protein folding process is performed at a rate that has been estimated to be approximately..."

### 4. No jargon without a clear payoff
If you use a technical term, immediately reward the reader for learning it.
- ✅ "Apoptosis — programmed cell death — is your body quietly deleting its own mistakes 50–70 billion times a day."
- ❌ "Apoptosis is a form of programmed cell death that occurs in multicellular organisms."

### 5. Celebrate the Aha! moment
Explicitly mark when the reader has learned something cool.
- ✅ "And that's why the sky is blue — and now you'll never look at it the same way."
- ❌ "In conclusion, light scattering explains the blue appearance of the sky."

### 6. Encouraging, never condescending
We're smart but never smug. We don't talk down. We pull up.
- ✅ "This one trips up almost everyone — but once you see it, it clicks instantly."
- ❌ "Even children can understand this basic concept."

## Tone by Context

| Context | Tone Dial |
|---|---|
| Quiz question | Playful, slightly teasing |
| Quiz answer reveal | Triumphant, warm, "here's the full story" |
| Onboarding | Welcoming, punchy, sets expectation of delight |
| Error states | Human, never robotic, slightly self-deprecating |
| Notifications | Short, curious hook — make them want to open |
| Deep-dive content | Enthusiastic authority — the excited expert |
| Encouragement | Specific praise, not generic ("You nailed osmosis!") |

## Do / Don't

| ✅ Do | ❌ Don't |
|---|---|
| Short sentences. Punchy rhythm. | Long, clause-laden academic sentences. |
| "Here's the wild part…" | "It should be noted that…" |
| Second person ("you") | Third person passive ("students are expected to") |
| Contractions ("it's", "you'll") | Formal full forms in body copy |
| End with a hook or a tease | End with a summary |
| Numbers for impact ("100 billion neurons") | Vague quantifiers ("many", "several", "various") |
